Palestine: The Forgotten Story

At curated humanity, we believe in restoring that story—with truth, with dignity, and through the voices of those who have endured.

A People, A Land, A History Erased.

Palestine is not just a place on a map—it is a living story of resilience, culture, and struggle. It is the homeland of millions whose roots stretch back centuries, long before the modern geopolitical crisis began. Yet today, the Palestinian story is too often silenced, distorted, or dismissed.

The Nakba: A Catastrophe That Never Ended

In 1948, more than 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced during the creation of the state of Israel—a mass expulsion known as the Nakba, or “catastrophe.” Entire villages were wiped from the map. Families were scattered across borders, never allowed to return. To this day, the right of return remains denied to millions of refugees and their descendants.

But the Nakba was not a one-time event. It was the beginning of an ongoing system of displacement, occupation, and control.

Occupation, Blockade, and Life Under Siege

Since 1967, Israel has militarily occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip. In Gaza, the situation has grown more dire by the year.

For over 17 years, Gaza has been under a crippling blockade. Israel controls its airspace, land crossings, and coastline. Basic goods are restricted. People cannot leave without permits that are rarely granted. Electricity, clean water, medical supplies, and building materials are constantly in short supply. The UN has repeatedly warned that Gaza would become “unlivable”—and for many, that warning has come true.

2023–2025: A New Chapter of Horror

Since late 2023, Gaza has witnessed one of the most brutal periods in modern history. More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them women and children. Hospitals, ambulances, schools, bakeries, and refugee camps have all been targeted.

  • 100% of Gaza’s population is now food insecure.

  • Over 70,000 children are acutely malnourished.

  • Aid convoys have been bombed. Aid workers—including from World Central Kitchen—have been killed while delivering food.

  • Entire families have perished without a trace.

This is not a natural disaster. It is the result of systemic injustice, occupation, and the denial of Palestinian humanity.

Why We Refuse to Look Away

At curated humanity, we do not approach Palestine as a “conflict zone”—we approach it as a place where human beings are fighting for the basic right to live, eat, and exist.

We do not believe neutrality is an option when people are starving.

We do not believe charity alone is enough when human rights are being violated.

That’s why our work is not just about delivering meals—it’s about amplifying the truth, restoring dignity, and reminding the world:

Palestinians are not a crisis—they are a people.
